A parchment effect reproduction map based on details of Northumberland as they were engraved and published by J Cary of 182, Strand, London in 1806. This was a period when the only transport on land was by horse and carriages, or carts. It is particularly interesting to see the old village and place names, and some of the architectural halls and buildings that have not managed to withstand the ravages of time. The same map (without torn effect) is also available as a print in a 12" x 10" mount ready to frame.
